Many of you know that I have been a mentor/"big brother" to the same young man for 15 years. Well, Jason is leaving San Francisco again, to start his sophomore year at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in DC. Like last August, this moment is bittersweet because while I am happy for and proud of him, I am going to miss our weekly dinners that we enjoyed this summer. For me, it is such a great feeling to have such a smart, compassionate, and fun young person in my life: helping me stay flexible, experience new things, and mentor someone I care for. I am going to miss Jase but will keep in close contact with him at school.

My "little brother" is off to college again
