Today,  Christopher Tang, 30, was arrested after posting a video on YouTube  showing his ride around Manhattan in 24 minutes. He was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speed violation and traffic device violation, among other offenses. Cops also took away the 2006 BMW model Z4 that the driver used for his stunt. 

This New York City misadventure was inspired by C'était un Rendezvous ("It was a date"), a short film (under 10 minutes) made in 1976 by Claude Lelouch, showing a high speed drive through Paris. Here is a clip of that movie:
