Artistic disobedience: LA artist, Manny Castro, stands up against homophobia at a Southern California Chick-fil-A. Madonna does the same in St. Petersburg, Russia

This talented gay artist outed himself via the internet, taking responsibility for calling out Chick-fil-A for their support of anti-gay hate groups.  Generally, I don't favor the destruction of private property, but Many is willing to pay the price for his convictions, and demonstrate against discrimination and hatred where he sees it.  How would society feel about Chick-fil-A if it was giving money to groups that called for segregation of and denial of rights for Baptists or Chinese-Americans? Unless all people are free and equal, none of us are.

Where is what Manny said about this artistic disobedience:

"Everybody is entitled to free speech, but it seems like for the gay tribe, this is more of an issue of equal rights — human rights," he said. "I'm against what these people stand for, what this company stands for. They're trying to take away what little rights we already have."  Read more at Towleroad.com
Madonna faces a $17,000 fine for violating a St. Petersburg law outlawing "gay propaganda" at a recent concert.
