A big crack in one of the pillars of institutionalized homophobia: Boy Scouts say they are going to review their policy on gays

This is a BIG development.  Obviously, the Boy Scouts are feeling lots of public pressure from new generations of parents that their homophobic policies are not in synch with modern families. Towleroad.com reports that "The Boy Scouts have agreed to consider a resolution submitted by a Scout leader from the Northeast in April and presented at the BSA's annual meeting last week in Orlando that would allow individual troops to accept gay people as scout leaders."


The above photo is of Zac Wahls -- the 20-something Iowa college student who passionately defended his two moms in an Iowa legislative hearing last year -- as he presents a petition of 275,000 signatures to the Boy Scouts of America, asking them to allow gay people to participate in scouting.
